1. What we collect

The details you give us: your name, email address, the photographs and files you upload, the notes and instructions you write about them, your order and revision history, and shipping details if you order prints. We also collect basic technical and usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and the link or ad you arrived from.

2. Why we collect it

To restore your photos and deliver them, to email you about your order, to process payment, to answer your questions, to measure which pages and ads bring people to us, and to keep the service secure and working.

3. Your photographs and instructions

Uploaded photographs are stored in private storage. They are not public, not listed anywhere, and not shown to anyone except the people working on your order. Private order and share links are unlisted and only reachable by someone who has the exact link. We do not use your photographs publicly or in marketing without asking you first.

4. Restoration specialists and contractors

Restoration work may be carried out by independent restoration specialists working with us. To do that work they need access to the photograph you uploaded and the instructions you wrote about it. They may only use it to complete your order, and they may not keep, publish or reuse it for any other purpose.

5. Software used to restore photos

Restoration is done with professional image-editing software. Some of that software, and some of the services we use to process or enhance images, includes machine-learning features, and an image may be processed by those tools while the work is being done. A real restoration specialist reviews and approves every result before it is delivered to you. We do not sell your photographs and we do not knowingly allow them to be used to train third-party models.

6. Service providers we share data with

We share only what is needed with the providers that make the service work: our hosting and database provider, our file storage provider, our email delivery provider, our payment processor, our analytics and advertising providers, and the print lab that produces any physical prints you order. We do not sell personal data.

7. Payments

Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers. Our processor receives the information it needs to take payment, including your email address and order amount.

8. Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure which ads lead to orders. These tools set cookies and may use Google click identifiers (such as the gclid in an ad link) and similar advertising identifiers to attribute a visit or an order to an ad. Where enhanced conversions are enabled, a hashed (irreversible) version of your email address may be sent to Google so a conversion can be matched to an ad click. Your photographs, filenames, notes, instructions and private order or share links are never intentionally sent to any advertising or analytics platform.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to keep your order draft and session working, plus the analytics and advertising cookies described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on and adjust ad personalization in your Google account settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the order form from working properly.

10. How long we keep things

Uploaded photographs and delivered files are kept while your order is active and for a period afterwards so you can re-download your files and request revisions — normally about 12 months — after which they may be deleted. Order and payment records are kept longer where we are required to for accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your photographs and files at any time and we will do so, unless we are legally required to keep a record of the transaction.

11. Your choices

Email us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to have your photographs removed, or to opt out of non-essential email. We will confirm your identity by email before acting on a request.

12. Children

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to hello@healedmemories.com.
